Main fields of study: History of Architecture and Housing Design. The Master´s Thesis consisted of the literary research: “Ancient Roman Wall paintings in architectural Context- Decoration of the Houses in Pompeii, Herculaneum and Ostia”(in Finnish) and the artistic part: “The Cerulean Chamber”-exhibition.

For the thesis was granted the prize: “The Best Master´s Thesis of the  Year 1998” by Helsinki University of Technology.

Awards


1998     “The Best Master´s Thesis of the Year 1998”, Departments of Building and Environment,  Helsinki University of Technology. The thesis combined the research to the artistic part: “The Cerulean Chamber” exhibition made of wall paintings, (see: Art Exhibitions).

1997     The second prize in the competition of the artwork for Pitäjänmäki Institute with the proposal “The scales of Mnemotechnic”.

1999    CaCO3- The Documentation of the Fresco-project, photographs combined with frescofragments, video by Markus Viljanen, Studio G, Helsinki, Finland.

1999    Fresco-project to the Sculpture hall of Kunsthalle Helsinki, Polvi´99-Exhibition, Taidehalli,  Helsinki, Finland. The fresco of 19m2 was plastered and painted directly on the wall during the exhibition.

1998    Simulacra- installation, made of wall paintings, fresco-fragments, lights, videos and sounds (140 m2; lights and  sounds by Jari Haanperä), Sinebrychoff Art Museum, Helsinki, Finland.

1997    Cerulean Chamber-installation, wall paintings and interactive computer demostration, Gallery of Finnish Academy of Fine Arts, Helsinki, Finland.
